Alfa Romeo 33 je dobila ime po poznatom trkackom bolidu (Alfa Romeo tipo 33) koji se mnogo ranije pojavio. 33-ka je pocela da se proizvodi 1983 kao zamena za Alfa Romeo Sud (1971-1983) i to samo u verzijama sa BOXER motorima koje je nasledila od alfe sud i to 1351cc jedan karburator i 1490cc dva karburatora. fabrika alfe 33 se nalazila u Pomigliano d'Arco na jugu Italije (u toj oblasti se vodila borba sa nezaposljnoscu). Sam projekat je bio nisko budzetnim pa je jedan od kompromisa bio jeftina protivkorozivna zastita (SSSR) i garancijom od 6 god. da bi po isteku garancijE krenuli problemi sa korozijom. 33-ka se proizvodila u 3 serije (da kazem tako) prva serija se proizvodila od 1983-1986/87 sa vec pomenutim motorima 1351cc ili QV (quadrifoglio verde) sa 1490cc i 105ks. Istovremeno je pocela proizvodnja giardinetta 33 prva modifikacija sasije (sport wagon) gde je prste umesao Pininfarina.
QV verzija je imala dosta dodatne opreme ele. podizace stakla, cent. bravu, dodatne satove za pritisak ulja, sat za napon, brisace na farovima... proizvodi se i verzija 4x4
Druga serija alfe 33 se proizvodila od 1986/87-1990, predstavljen boxer 1712cc, dva karburatora sa 117ks. i modeli sa ovim motorom su dobili oznaku Qv, dok je u to vreme verzija sa 1490cc motorom dobila novu oznaku Ti. Motori od 1351cc su bili dostupni sa jednim ili dva karburatora i modeli su imali oznaku 1.3 junior sa jednim karb. ili 1.3 S sa dva karb. (junior 79ks, 1.3 S 86ks). 1986-1988 pocinje ugradnja i 3 cilindricnog liniskog turbo dizela u modelu giardinetta. Pojavile su se i neke spec verzije 1989-1990, RED i BLUE sa crveno crnim nterierom i motorom 1.3 S.
1988 1.7 motor je dobio direktno ubrizgavanje (1.7 iE iniezione elettra).
3 serija 33-ke dobija novi dizain pomalo podseca na alfu 164. Proizvodnja pocinje 1990 i traje 1994 kada se gasi proizvodnja ovog modela. Problem korozije je resen jer treca serija dobija novu zastitu od drugog proizvodjaca. Prvi modeli 3 serije su se pojavili sa karburatorskim motorima (dok se rezerve nisu potrosile) da bi kasnije svi modeli imali dirktno ubrizgavanje i katalizatore koji su bili obavezni. Novina je bila i servo volan. Modeli sa motorom 1351cc su dobili novu oznaku 1.4. pojavio se i 16v motor obimom 1712cc i 132ks koji razvija 0-100km/h za 8,2 sec. max brzinom 205km/h. Alfa 33 P4 sa pogonom na 4 tocka i motorom 1.7 je preimenovan u Q4 i sport wagon ranije poznat kao giardinetta. Pred samim krajem proizvodnje alfe 33 pojavilo se mnogo spec. verzija od kojih je najpoznatija i najinteresantnija IMOLA sa motorom 1351cc u sasiji 16v QV (spojleri, alufelne, interijer...), druge spec verzije: FEELING, THE HIT, BENETON,MONTE CARLO,TROFEO.

Alfa 33 Project
I am finally starting work on my Alfa 33. It failed inspection last year with emissions issues,
weak headlights, and rusted front struts. It sat all winter in Mossängen and has sat all summer at work.
Many things have gotten worse from it sitting outside.
It appears the coolant hoses and fuel lines are due to be changed.
There are lots of small rust spots starting around the wheel arches and on one door.
It's a 1985 model so it does not have a galvanized body.
Luckily a quick inspection of the inside fender wells and frame
showed no evidence of the frame cracks which are common in early 33s.
For my birthday I put a few hours into rebuilding the carbs.
I had downloaded an IDF rebuild and tuning guide online but it turns out my
36IDFs are not exactly the same as the 44IDFs rebuild in the guide.
I have a couple of Weber Carb manuals, one from Haynes, but neither of them cover the IDF carbs in much detail.
The first carb took all afternoon. I managed to squeeze in some time on Monday to finish the other one.
They're ready to go back on the car but I will need to change the fuel lines and fuel filter before they do.
I'm going to change the distributor cap and rotor, plugs,
and leads as well just so I know I am starting with everything in top shape.
I found quite a bit of dirt in the carb bodies and in the fuel filters but not so much in the jet stacks or anywhere else.
Everything got a thorough cleaning so they are as clean as they will ever be now.
The float needles were in poor shape. The replacements were aftermarket ones.
I am hoping they work just as well, I cannot see any reason they wouldn't.
I am going to need a synchrometer to balance the carbs out once I get them installed.
Lucky for me I can borrow a CO meter to check things out before I take it in for inspection.
Weber Carbs Direct has one for around 40 dollars, which is much cheaper than I can find them in Sweden for.
They have a 40 IDF service kit which supposedly fits my 36 IDF carbs as well.
I will probably rebuild my spare carbs with the proper weber kit and compare them.
One step closer to being back on the road, anyway. Lots more to go.

A kako su poslednje verzije 33 dobijale "lajsne" na vratima? Prvo sam mislio da to zavisi od motora i da samo imaju karoserije sa 1.7 motorom. Kasnije sam video da gresim. Izgleda da je to zavisilo od smene koja je radila !

Moram ovo da vam ispričam.Jedan kolega sa posla kupio u Sloveniji pred rat 33 serija 2 ona lepa(zelena metalik)sa karbovima čini mi se 1991 godine.Čuo od nekoga da Alfe vole da im motor ječi dok se vozi i on opali iz Kš do mora sve u 3 brzini i gas do panja-sprži motor-Inače do sada je prešao ravno 19800 km za 18 godina koliko je ima.Sva cereva i gume su ispucale od starosti a i od neznanja da ih ponekad puderom nafajta ili silikonskim sprejom poprska.Mislim radio je i generalku na njoj

Lazes da je preso samo 19800 km
Pa na nije toliko zapustio i divljao to bi bila prava masina za nekog ko voli 33.
Koji bedak znaci neverujem ja sam do sada video najmanje sa 100000 km
