The Portello Scuderia was created in 1982 as Alfa Romeo's official team, based in Arese. The name comes from the original site of the Alfa Romeo factory, on the Portello road. Its aim: to defend Alfa Romeo's colors on the track and restore the company's sporting tradition in the vintage cars sector. The scuderia is also a reference point for drivers, who are helped by Alfa Romeo to locate original parts and documentation about Alfa Romeo vintage racing cars.
Not only vintage cars, though: at the Scuderia del Portello you can also hear the throbbing engines of today's Alfa Romeos.
